In the early 1900's St. Petersburg was known as "the Green Bench City". At their height some 2,500 benches lined the downtown sidewalks inviting passers-by to slow their pace and make friends of strangers. In the same way Green Bench beer will serve as a catalyst for community and cheer. People will gather around a pint (or two) to share in both good times and bad, to discuss business or tell a joke, to reminisce about life or dream about the future, to get up and dance to the music or to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the brew.

Draught @ Beer Shop, Oak Park (Nov 2023). Extremely hazy pale yellow with a small foamy off-white head, lemon aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter sweet lemon taste, thin body, long citrus finish. Very citrusy.

On draft at Dominion Wine and Beer. Pours a clear copper with an ecru head. Smoky malt aroma. Flavors are slightly bitter with som sweetness to balance. Tasty.

From a can it pours virtually clear almost lemon colored with a big uncontrollable white head. Nose is odd off metallic. Taste is just certainly gose like, but its not as friendly as I was expecting. Every big swig from the can leaves a pressurized uncontrolled bubbling sensation in the mouth, I like that! It almost squirts out the mouth. Cutting CO2 all round. After a while, I start to get used to the processed feel that makes this not quite like a friendly gose. In the end it finishes quite refreshing, not bad.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a clear, very pale yellow color with a fizzy white head and poor retention. Almost no lacing. As expected, lime and pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Grainy lager flavor with lime. Tastes like a macro lager. At least it doesn't have a slimy texture like many lime and salt lagers. Very high carbonation. Light body. No bitterness. Harmless. 95 for a pale lager?? I don't think so.

Bottle shared by Steve at the August 2023 PS tasting, 8/19/23. Hazy orange, thin beige head, average retention. Aroma of apricot, oak, vanilla, wine, pale malt. Taste is apricot, oak, vanilla, funk, pepper.
