Bottle - Vintage 2008 - Cocoa powder. Muddy brown with with a thin brown head. Roasted malts with a bit of sourness and cocoa. Light body and a surprisingly sessionable. Great beer at this age.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light dark fruits, nice. In mouth, a nice peaty chocolate malt with smooth dark fruits, quite nice. Cask Days 2013.

Something is a little off in this and I’m not sure what - maybe it’s just a different flavour from the fenugreek. Cloudy dark brown without much head or lacing. Slightly sweet finish that tastes like brown sugar. C’est What Festival

650mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a hazy gold / copper with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of earthy hops, some pine, and a crackery malt backing - very earthy smelling. Flavour is dominated by wonderfully dry earthy hops, with subtler notes of grass, a some pine cones, and thin malt backbone that provides support without contributing much to the flavour profile. Super dry and earthy, with a highly drinkable character. Leaves a low-to-moderate astringency. A kickass IIPA from Ontario - who'da thunk it.

Single from the LCBO with a painted label on bottle, written 10 Bitter Years (with numbers). Pours a clean amber colour with a creamy-frothy warm cap that stays very, very long and gives out thick, full foamy lace. Aromas of roasted malt, grass, pine and citrus hops. The mouthfeel is really smooth. Hard to feel the alcohol. No burning at all, just basically wet with a little dryness in the finish. Fruity malts with lots of citrus notes. This Impy IPA goes down very easily. Nothing too crazy, but quite smooth.

Not great. Pours clear amber. Aroma of thyme and lemon but ok balance but I’m not sure it necessarily works as a beer. Slightly sweet and sour finish. On tap at Rhino summerfest.

Bottle: Poured a dark amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney hops is quite dominant with some light spicy notes (some rye malt maybe). Taste is also dominated by powerful citrus and piney notes with some bitterness with light spicy notes and a dry malt backbone. Body is average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed and very enjoyable. Glad they kept making this anniversary beer.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a hazy amber with minimal off-white head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Nice bit of caramel to balance the floral hops. Nice bitter start middle and end but not overpowering. It has a medium oily mouth with average carbonation. I had almost no expectations for this bottle but was pleasantly surprised.

(On cask at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 26th 2013) Pours a hazy bright yellow-gold with a big frothy cask head, lots of lace. Aroma floral, a little tart, orange as expected, other zesty citrus, lightly herbal, yeasty. Flavour was sweet-tart orange, herbal/floral notes, yeast, slightly tangy and lemony, just a little malt, dry and yeasty finish but not particularly bitter, didn’t linger as expected. Mouthfeel soft, smooth but not too thin as expected for a good cask body. Very easy to drink. I like the idea and the balance, but aroma/flavour concentration could have been amped up - know the cask was several days old so perhaps freshness plays into that.
