Tap at the victory Cafe in Toronto, 2008: 7/4/6/2/12=3.1. Attractive dark brown color. Winey, dark fruit, wood and smoke aroma. Relatively simple malt flavor. Slightly nutty and smoky, but way too think in the mouth. Decent, but lacks complexity. Can from KBL. Nice to revisit this. Chestnuts and cocoa. Rich malt, not too sweet, rather clean. Rich cocoa. Clean finish.

Draught, at Bow & Arrow, Toronto on 7th June 2008.Sweetcorn on the nose to begin with; strong hazelnut notes with increasing nuttiness (peanut) to a bitter finish. Delicious, and different.

Dark brown colour. Chocolatey nose with hints of nuts. The flavour is a bit thin but actually has a nice balance of cherry accents and chocolate syrupy character.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet spicy - among them coriander, but also a lot of others that I can’t put a name to. The flavor is sweet malty and very spicy, leading to a dry spicy finish. A nice saison.

341 ml Bottle from Harry! Thanks! Nose of rich chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, and very faint spices; black with lightly hazy brown edges and a medium cinnamon colored head; flavor is chocolate, some hoppy bitterness, some roastiness, and a bit of cinnamon showing later just before the bitter finish kicks in. Pretty good porter! This is one I think Degarth would like!
