Elbram Marbock, Flasche direkt vom Brauer in Marburg. - Schwarzbraun, trüb; sparsamer Schaum. - In der Nase schweres, tiefdunkles Malz, Kakao, dunkle Konfitüre, leichte zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk satt und bocktypisch massiv dunkelmalzig mit kräftigen Melanoidinen, Anklänge an Lakritz. Füllig fruchtige oder vielmehr marmeladige Süße mit Kakao, gut ausbalanciert durch runde Hopfenherbe mit feinen zitrusfruchtigen Zügen, leicht herbal, ein wenig kühlend. Mild rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang dunkelmalzbitter und fein hopfenherb. - Origineller dunkler Bock von tiefer Malzigkeit, reicher Fruchtigkeit (obergärig?) und schöner Hopfung, etwas rustikal bzw. handwerksmäßig aber durchaus überzeugend. At the brewpub. Slightly hazy brownish/cherry red body. Off white head. Dusty soapy malty nose, light raisins, slightly stale but ok. Creamy sweetish malty taste, slightly tangy, notes of cherry. Hmm. Ok enough.

At the brewpub. Orange-golden hazy body. Slightly dusty fruity malty nose, quite nice. Creamy, maybe apricoty malty taste, somewhat dusty. Not bad. Mild, slightly soapy notes, tea? Better than expected.

Growler 200cl. @ Fanø¸ Tasting 2010.Clear medium yellow amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, old malt, sugar, malt extract notes, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration.
