Very dark, roasty on the verge of being smokey character. Much more smoke than any other Schwarz I’ve had. Takeaway bottle at the brewery.

Well made, a bit too clean for the style. Estery finish. Straight forward, but not particularly memorable.

50cl bottle @ Bamberg. Pours amber/copper with a small creamy head on top. Some roast, bread, caramel and quite a lot of grain that shines through. Medium and smooth palate. Ends dry. OK

50cl bottle @ Bamberg. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Sweet notes of grain, caramel, fresh hay and hops. Taste is sweet of bread, caramel and hayish malts. Medium and smooth body. Diacetyl perhaps - but tasty and quaffable.
