This stout poured a deep, dark black colour with a fast-living, rocky, tan coloured head. to the nose there are scents of burnt coffee, earth and a little dough. First sip was smooth and a little watery. Flaours of nuts, cocoa and roasted coffee grounds most prodominant. Finish is burnt with coffee flavour lingering...

Tulip glass pour at the brewpub in Atlanta, Georgia. Pour is hazed orange copper with not much of a head. Aroma is sweet malt grain, touch of wheat and spicy yeast. Taste is more earth and mineral and traditional Dupont flavors. Palates has a lower level of carbonation with an aftertaste of lingering clove yeast. Nice.

Bottle. Very roasted aroma, lots of chocolate, some coffee, grassy hop aroma. Black colour, small dark brown head. The flavour starts off quite smoky, there is some peat and tar. A little sweet. Some grassy hop notes when not overpowered by other flavours. Hint of yeast. Very late aftertaste of fresh-ground coffee.

Location: On tap at the Alpharetta Brewbup, 2/15/10
Overall Impression: It has some spice, some doughy/yeasty flavors, and some citrus hops. It pours a clear golden color. Its a solid enough golden ale. Of the 5 beers I had there this ends up in a virtual tie for 4th (5th) with the Venus, both being a few steps behind the other 3 beers.

Overall Impression: This is a decent Belgian White, that is mostly dominated by orange. It also, coincidentally enough, pours an orange color. Other then the strong orange presence and some spice, there isn't much for me to add. It is fairly standard in what you would expect from this style. I would drink it again, but I liked the other stuff they had to offer a lot better.
