On tap at Hoh served in a ceramic mug, pours a clear golden (I think) with a small white head. Aroma has light metallic notes and not much else—probably obscured by the ceramic. Flavour has plenty of biscuity malt, grassy hops, straw, and light metallic notes that are somehow pleasant. Much more interesting than a typical unfiltered pils. Very good.

On tap at Hoh, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma has bright herbaceous notes, grass, and straw. Flavour has an unusually fruity herbaceous character for a helles, along with light grassy bitterness, and some aged, furniture-like character to the malt. Maltier for a helles, with a fruity, aged finish. Good.

Fläschla (purchased at the Brauerei): Deep golden, almost copper-coloured , hazy, small white foamy layer, dryish malty-barnyardy nose with a distinctive herbal-hoppy background; moderate to solid bitter and also sweet flavour, almost medium bodied, as soft as expected; lingering sweet pale-malty and herbal-bitter finish. Well balanced and moreish…

(Draught at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm, 25 July 2020) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of bread, grass and fresh herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, grain and fresh herbal hops in a finish with a balanced bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Uncomplicated but solid, well made and fresh German helles at its best. Very nice.
