On Tap at Growler Guys Meridian, ID Redish amber with modest but creamy tan head. Mice woody sharp malt bite and a bitterness that seems a bit biger than the advertised 24IBU. Clean and rather dry. Nice bitter.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Dark amber pour with thick fluffy beige head. Hops dominate the aroma, but some sweetness from the grain is also apparent. Oats give it a a nice velvety texture , minor malt sweetness, a little bit of earthy flavor, and a tad of hop bitterness at the finish. Part IPA, part scotch ale.

Can from Boise Co-op. Pours out a murky orange golden with high fluffy head. Gentle hoppy aroma, hops offer a bigger bite in the taste, and linger on through the finish. Hops pretty much dominate the whole brew.

Nice hazy golden and copper coloured body with a bright ginger glow along with a nice, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright grassy and herbal hops with a nose of alcohol, strong malt and a touch of caramel sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal flavour with a deep dry malty flavour and a nice pleasant sweetness from apples, apricots and a bit of caramel. Aftertaste shows some dry elements and a bit more malt than a typical IPA, but relatively good and smooth with a touch of hop bitterness on the end. Overall, a good enough IPA that isn’t superb or amazing, but nice to sample and try. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Albertson’s in Great Falls, Montana on 19-June-2016 for US$4,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Montana on 21-June-2016.

12 oz. can from Withey's Health Foods in Kalispell, MT. Pours a dark brown-black color with a small beige head and fair retention. No lacing. Dark malt aroma. Very bourbon-like booze-forward flavor with some dark malts and chocolate notes in the finish. Thin mouthfeel. Limited bitterness. Light carbonation. It tastes better as you mouth numbs, but just too boozy overall. More of a strong dark ale versus a sweet stout.
