Description
Raphaël Mettler and his team have been brewing beer with a passion since 2003, and their enthusiasm is eminently contagious: the Trois Dames beers from Ste-Croix challenge the taste buds and flatter the eye, and that is exactly what makes them original. We believe in making a top-notch product, the reason why we carefully select fresh ingredients.

Hazy amber color with orange shades, small head. Perfumy aroma, lightly sour and fruity, spicy too. Correct body, light sweetness and acidity from the raspberries, a bit spicy; more aggressive at the end, with also quite strong bitterness, for a fruity beer. I’m not fond of fruit beers, but it’s correctly brewed.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier
Hazy blond color; poor head, quickly disappearing. Light aroma, malt, paper and very light hop. Weak mouthfeel, very light malt and hop flavor, low bitterness, missing freshness and crispness. Not interesting.

Bottled (BB 04/2009) Golden color, big cloudy white head, some lace. Citrusy, grapefruity aroma. Flavor is also grapefruity with citrusy, fruity hops. Dry aftertaste. Sample could be more fresh, but this brew has pontential. Quite American.

Bottle from Allen, thanks! Orange color. Lovely grapefruit and pineapple aroma. Malty sweetish, but also firm hopbitter flavor, oily with grapefruit and lemon. Somewhat yeasty aftertaste. Quite likeable IPA.

A dark brown stout with a thin off white head. A rather bizarre aroma of meat paté, cheese and thyme, odd and unpleasant. In mouth, not so bad, with a rather herbal chocolate malt and some bitter root. Medium bodied. A rather weird stout. Tasted at Mondiale 2007.
