Bottle. No head. Clear straw colour. Strong aroma and foretaste of leatherwood honey. Bitterness appears in the finish. The strong leatherwood and the bitterness sort of balance. I find leatherwood too intense though. It is a unique and interesting honey ale though.

Bottled at RBESG 2006 - thanks to Motelpogo. A pitch black beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel and roasted malt as well as light notes of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with medium notes of roasted malt and chocolate, as well as light notes of whiskey, leading to a dry roasted finish. The alcohol leaves a slight burn in the cheeks.

An unclear pinkish red beer with a fluffy pink head. The aroma is artificially sweet with notes of wheat, while the flavor is sweet with notes of berries - especially black berries. It is very carbonated in the mouth. Thanks Papsoe for sharing this seldom beer.

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Dark, reddish-brown, clear-looking beer with a small, tan head. Coffee, alcohol, mild chocolate, mocha and hops in the aroma. A very smooth beer with wocha, coffee, dark bitter chocolate and a full body. The finish has some alcohol with lots of coffee-bitterness. I want more of this! (060826)

(Bottle 25 cl) Pours a slightly hazy pink with a small, pinkish head. Fresh, dry, fruity aroma - berry like. A bit too heavily carbonated. Fairly light body with distinct notes of blackberries. A dry finish. Quite refreshing but suffers from the heavy carbonation. Thanks to Carina & Pia for the import. 280906

(Bottle 25 cl) Pours a slightly hazy, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Distinct smoked aroma. Fairly solid body with plenty of roasted malts and again this distinct smokiness - more than I have ever encountered in any other Scotch Ale. Comes through rather sweet without much bitterness. Perhaps the smoke is a bit too much making it a bit off balance. Thanks to Carina and Pia for bringing me this rare treat. 150906

Bottled. Dark amberish ruby colour. Aroma of candy sugar, plum and mild roasted malts. Flavour is malts and candy sugar with dry fruits and roasted malt. Alcohol gives a very warming effect, though it doesn’t show up that much in flavour. Very pleasantly done.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Phil (motelpogo) who travelled the world for 3 months with this in his backpack to bring it to RBESG 2006 in Gothenburg. What an effort.... Pours a clear, reddish mahogany with a small, light brown head. Full and vinous aroma with sweetish, roasted malt and some dried fruit. Full-bodied and very complex with raisins and other drid and overripe fruit. Very warming alcohol and a subdued bitterness. A pleasure indeed. 260806
