Cask at The Fat Cat, Sheffield, ’The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire’ on the Valley of Beer Day 16-08-08 Pours light gold almost lemon colour with a nice fresh white head. This beer was in spankingly good condition really fresh English hops? jump out both on the nose and in the mouth. This beer carries its strength very well, its just marvellous, nice sweet satusma, good bittersweet tang, I loved this and am a little surprised to see the previous rather modest ratings, great beer Beer of the Day

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, B2, Birmingham. Clear light yellow color with a virtually none, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, lemon, resin. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, and a nice dry hoppy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 1 Aug) Mahogany colour with almost no head. Fruity nose with notes of dried fruit and raisins. Fruity taste with dried fruit, black-currant and blackberries. Blueberries and some hops in the finish. Goes down, but hardly exciting.
