Beautiful golden color, thick. Mature sweet aroma, some alcohol. Thick mouthfeel, very sweet but well balanced by the strong alcohol perception. Not complex but the flavors are well mixed together; powerful liquor.

Bottle, at papsoe’s. Clear, golden pour, no head. Spices, honey and alcohol in the aroma, quite heavy on the spices actually. The alcohol is far from hidden either, but what can you expect from 21% ABV. Menthol, spices, sweetness and a good dash of honey in the flavor. Full, sweetish, sticky mouthfeel, quite warming. Alcohol, honey, spices, heather and sweetness in the finish. Quite drinkable despite the high ABV, but a small glass is enough. (071006)

Bottle. (thx papsoe for sharing.) Clear, golden pour, and as expected, no head worth mentioning. Papery nose with alcohol and some honey. Quite honey-sweet flavor, but unfortunately with the same papery thing found in the aroma, although not so evident. Medium body. Sweet finish with honey and some heather. The nose wasn’t much to brag about, but the flavor is decent. Not a favorite of mine though. (071006)

25 cL bottle. Pours golden and clear yellow with no head. Thick alcohol aroma with a minor sweetness and a subdued herbalness and a whiff of honey. Soft honey flavour on a strong bed of alcohol and a bit of spices, quite nice.

200ml bottle. Cloudy orange body with no head. Moderate sweet, alcoholic and honey aroma. Flavor is sweet honey and floral, not bad at all. This mead gives a warming alcoholic feeling and is not to dominated by honey. Maybe wrong for a mead to have this little honey flavor, but I prefer it this way. Thanx to Yngwie.
