12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with little off-white head. Spiced aroma, slight wheaty-like and a dry raisin note. Thick mouthfeel. Slight liqourice flavour, raisin note and thick malty. Dry finish. Warming alcohol finish. Nice.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown with some burgundy color ale with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some bourbon notes is well balance. Taste is also comprised of a nice balance between some sweet malt with some dry fruits elements as well as some bourbon with nice vanilla notes. Body is about average with some medium carbonation and no alcohol is apparent. I like how the bourbon is present but does not dominate or brings too much alcohol. A very interesting and different beer that leaves wanting to try more from this brewer.

This may have been dusted with tulip petals, but I was tasting cookies and oranges while I was sipping on white wine, or so I thought. The spicies I like in tripels simply weren’t there, but the full body and well hideen alcohol is well respected. Lots of cookies danced in my mouth at the finish and that can’t be a bad thing.

Dark brown color with red hue. Roasted malt and dark caramel, with a hint of coffee, capuccino and hop. Don’t seek anything else here.

Hazy orange-amber color. The aroma is strange, with hops, malt but also celeri. Quite strong body, very good malty flavor (or sweet caramel) and a bit oily, well balanced by the correct (strong) hopping, that is a bit aromatic too, with hop oils, and some toffee impression, growing towards the end. Very powerful and good, but not my favorite.
In my opinion it doesn’t fit the class of the Barley Wines and IPAs, but more a generic American Strong Ale.
