Bottle that ogivlado received in a trade with faroeviking (thanks!), shared with him and heavy. Poured a nice red body tinged with amber. Medium-small beige head that went away slowly. A nice fruity malty nose, jam, some grain, nut and dust. Dry, bitterish taste at first, hop, notes of alcohol, stale dusty yeastiness (it’s a bit old), but then malt shows up.. sweetish honey, bubblegum, pomegrenate... nice maltiness. This was quite nice fresh I guess and not all that bad in this state as well.

Bottle, kindly shared by plovmand. A clear golden beer with a small, off-white head. Cereals and caramel in the aroma, as well as some fruit. Quite weak. The flavor is much the same, but also has some bitterness, especially in the finish. Quite thin body. I was thinking I needed to rerate it, but judging from the other ratings, it doesn’t seem so. Utterly boring, and so less interesting than their other beers. (080823)

Test vom 27.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,9,8,11,9 - 8,95

Bottle. Sweet prune and wheat malt aroma - moderate astringent alcohol. Clear reddish brown with small head. Sweet raisin, wheat malt, and moderate alcohol astringency. More bock-like. A nice beer.

Bottled(500ml). – Gift from Papsoe and Ungstrup at RBESG2008 Grand Tasting, huge thanks!
I finally managed to try Greenland beer after the same beer has brooke last year somewhere on the way from Denmark to Croatia. Ruby red coloured, medium sized pale beige head, pleasant fruity malty nose. Sweet malty, surprisingly fruity and light caramel taste with notes of green apples in the aftertaste. Decent bock.

A huge thanks to Papsoe and Ungstrup for giving this to us! Poured a nice deep red body with a big thick, creamy off white head. Fruity (red fruit) malty nose. Somewhat sweet light fruity malty taste, some light chalky-dry acidity. Tasty in a way, no alcohol anywhere!

Bottle: Deep golden coloured, small white lacing head, fruity dark-malty nose with a distinctive amount of hops and a touch of molasses; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; bitter-sweet-dark-malty finish. O.K., pleasant, but not overwhelming..........

500ml bottle (bb.01.04.08) bought at Barley Wine, Copenhagen in January 07. Deep, dark mahogany body colour with ruby highlights. The head is not more than a thin ring of bubbles. Aroma of dark berries and malt. Initial fruity tartness soon overrun by candy sweetness with hints of slightly roasted malts. Medium bodied (23.12.2007).

Edition 2006, 1 year old, at Plan B
Dark brown color. Caramel aroma, a bit fruity. Medium body, dry caramel flavor with delicate cinnamon touch. Maybe a bit dry in the end, but not bad.
