750 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of oaky bourbon and toasted malts. Flavors of boozy and oaky bourbon, a bit of marzipan, postage stamp and toasted malts. Pretty boozy, lacking depth and could use some sweetness. More like a Strong Ale than a Stout...

Dark brown, a bit murky but with a robust head. Chocolate and boozy bourbon, this is rough around the edges. Yeah, crazy rough and boozy. Definitely aged less than 48 months, so I kind of hope they have some ancient barrels set aside. I mean, good base, ok treatment, but two steps below top class.

Slight haze, medium head, dullish pale. Piney, light citrus, some yeast. Quite bitter. Yeasty, again, a citrus and pine thing. It’s the yeastinessof the underlying beer that misses for me.

Hazy. Pale, medium head. Fruity hop, basic malt, it’s okay. Moderate bitterness.

Slight haze, medium head. Aroma is piney, orangey and a little bit yeasty. Palate has that same yeastiness, with hearty bitterness and a grapefruit accent. Quality.

650mL bottle, pours black with a large tan head. Aroma has a nice roasted malt character, gentle wood, and robust hops. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt, wood, and big hoppy bitterness. The barrel character is low-quality, but the base saves this. Still nice despite the barrel.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is full of piney hops, some citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with bitter piney hops, plenty of citrus, and a dry, crisp biscuity. Clean, bitter and drinkable despite not having too memorable a hop profile. Very good.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy dark red with a small white head. Nose has light lacto, with dry, fresh raspberry skins. Flavour is more a combo of the raspberries and blueberries, with minimal lacto, and a dry finish. Clean and refreshing while still just being a simple fruited kettle sour. Decent.

Dark brown, medium tan head. Nose of light roast/chocolate. Lightly toasty and earthy with dry malt. Chocolate notes, with light late bitterness. Nice effort !!
