Description
We are an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange* and extraordinary. The beer we make is influenced both by old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients. Our barrel programme promises unique aged beers, and we have a bit of a thing for sour beer.

Sort of dull pale amber, thick head. Nice bitterness, the malts are a bit thin, but the hop has the classic leafy citrusy WC vibe.

473mL can, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium toasted malt, a touch of earthiness, and a hint of bitter, dry espresso. Flavour is dry, with lots of toasted malt, a hint of dry, bitter espresso, and a touch of cocoa. Dry, toasty, but not much depth even for the style. It's fine, but pretty boring.

Poured from the tap (2022 vintage). Dark brown with minimal light beige head. Bourbon forward, it’s a bit hot and harsh, but should presumably mellow with time. Decent.

Poured from the tap. Clear amber with small white head. Malty, feint toasted bread crust character, very mild bitterness in the backing. Quite nice. Nice flavour at 3.5% abv.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Golden colour, chill haze. Aroma of malt, piney hops, light armpit. Lean body, very little residual sweetness; bready base, and piney hops, slightly minty in the finish; the alcohol is barely noticeable.
Good.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp piney hops and crisp biscuity malt in good balance. Flavour is bright, with biting piney hops, a touch of grassiness, and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely hopped, piney and assertively bitter. Excellent WCIPA.

Hazy amber. Medium head. Alcohol up front, light caramel, mellow orange. On the palate, medium bitterness. A bit rough around the edges, would certainly benefit from more brightness, but overall solid.
