Can. Bright gold, almost clear, with lace. Bright hop nose, tons of citrus, lemon, orange, light tropical fruits, biscuity malt. Bright, clean flavor, slightly bready, hop-led. Good one.

Can. Nose of banana, caramel, nuts, light vanilla. Dark amber with a huge head. Very fruity and estery flavor, nutty, malty, vanilla, light smoke, bit of oak. Nicely balanced and full-on Belgian dark.

Medium golden color. Clean palate fairly juicy. Modestly bitter. It is literally a hazy IPL. Decent. Body is fairly heavy. Some stone fruit and citrus notes. Nice

Deep golden color. Cereal malt, slightly sweet malt palate, slightly fruity. Not overly complex. Not super bitter, a bit too sweet. It’s ok.

very cloudy medium golden color. Peaches, citrus and lemon notes. Fairly juicy nose. Very dry and some what bitter and juicy. Style Wise this is all over the place. Still somehow manages to be smooth and enjoyable. With slightly alcohol burn and peach juice finish

When I read it was a fruit beer, I didn’t expect it to be a dark one! Y Market Decorian Belgian Fruits Ale 7% Deep brown with thick beige foam. It’s got a soft cocoa powder and candied fruit aroma. Medium to full bodied and fairly smooth. The taste is roasty, chocolatey and overall it’s like a chocolate fruit cake. Interesting and pretty tasty.

First up: Y Market Lemonmolen Belgian-style wit 6% Big lemongrass herbal aroma with spicy hoppiness. Medium bodied and silky smooth. It’s got chewy wheat and loads of lemongrass/lemon peel. At first, I felt it was kind of a hoppy wheat beer but as I drank it, I started to feel it was more and more a slightly modern take on a witbier.

Tap at Komachi. Very pale pastel yellow. Nose is grapefruit, lemon, wheat, bit of pine. Nice citrus fruit flavors, some resins there too, not too sweet, fruity but not super juicy. Dry finish. Seems to get the nice fruitiness of the style without the sweetness or slickness that gets old.

Tap at Komachi. Bright, crystal clear golden with a low head. Deep rich malt nose, citrus hops, bread. Crisp and malt, medium sweetness, slightly bready. Good but not super exciting.
