Tap at CBM Porta, Y Market 30 tap takeover. Hazy pale golden. Nose is lemon grass, wheat malt, biscuits, lemony. Sweet, rich malt flavor with a lot of herbal lemon grass coming through. Spicy Belgian yeast of course. A unique Wit. Slightly heavy.

Tap at CBM Porta, Y Market 30 tap takeover. Deep orange, cleaer. Grassy, resiny nose, with malty biscuits. Quite dank too. Love it. Dry and hoppy flavor, grassy, resiny, grapefruit and citrus, very bit but clean and finishes dry and slightly bitter. Best 10% WIPA I have had in a long time.

Tap at CBM Porta, Y Market 30 tap takeover. Medium gold, clear, medium head. Very Herbal hop nose, lots of sage, some lemon, grass, slightly weird and off-putting but interesting. Sweet and tangy, herbal and salvic. Soft, silky body. Very unique but I can't say I really like these hops.

No idea if this is the same beer or not… Y Market Beer Tex IPA 6.5% Clear gold with thick dense white foam and a slightly dank citrusy aroma. I got this as the Japanese description said it’s a summer beer for the outdoors. Medium to full bodied, smooth and soft mouthfeel but the taste was very dank and bitter. Closest to skunk weed I’ve had in awhile but with a nice enough sweet bitterness after that dank hit. Not sure what I was expecting but I guess for me a summer beer should be lighter and more approachable. Still a damn fine beer. Wish I could plow through more of these 30 taps (at 600/900¥!) but I’ve gotta head home to the family. If these prices stay, I’ll probably swing by this week to try some more Y market beers.

Y Market Meito Lager Ribbon 5.5% (L) Crystal clear copper gold with a rich lemon aroma. Medium bodied and silky smooth. Apparently, this is one of their 10th anniversary brews. It’s very crisp and dry. Ultra clean and refreshing with the nose being mostly lemon, the taste lemon with slight malt sweetness. Really well balanced.

Y Market Lupulin Nectar Hyakushiki 7.5% (R) So Lupulin Nectar seems to have become a series of beers with a ton of variants when I wasn’t looking. This anniversary beer is an 8 (!) brewery collaboration hoppy lager. It’s a murky matte orange gold with wispy white foam, looks like orange juice. The aroma is juicy hazy tropical. Medium bodied with a prickly zesty seltzer-like carbonation. The taste is very much tropical juicy style with orange creamsicle, mango and hints of papaya. Tasty but on the sweet side. For crushability that meiyon lager ribbon comes out on top.

On tap pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice sweet tropical fruit hops some citrus and a little melon. Taste is more of the nice sweet tropical fruit forward hops and a nice citrus kick.

Called a free style marzen with sansho and unagi powder added. Nose is sansho, caramel, lots of umami. Slightly hazy amber to brown with a thick head. Lager flavor, rich malts, sansho spice, don't taste the eel but there is a huge amount of umami. Interesting.
