From my sake backlog. 750 ml bottle. Body is almost clear as water and a bit oily, no head. Aroma is alcohol, fusel and a faint scent of marzipan, feels sweet in aroma. Flavor is sweet and alcoholic with a hint of harsh bitterness. Behind the alcoholic flavor the body feels more soft and almost chewy in palate. Fruitier in aftertaste. A bit rough in style and not particular elegant in taste.

Drank at room temperature. The consistency of the liquid is clear and transparent. The color is a hint of yellow. The olfactory intensity is high, and the persistence is sufficient. The taste on the nose - dominant aroma is of malted rice Koji. The taste on the nose - secondary aromas is directed towards fruity and mushroom, for an intense flavor. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of medium strength’s sake. The aroma on the tongue is slightly dry. The body is full. The flavor intensity is high and the persistence is sufficient. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are ready to drink. The roof of the mouth carries notes of yogurt, strawberry, licorice and umami. The aroma on the tongue is medium dry. The body is full. The taste intensity is high, and the persistence is sufficient. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are of drinkable sake. Notes of honey, dried apricot, hazelnut, spices, licorice and mineral arrive on the roof of the mouth.

On tap at Popeye, pours a cloudy peachy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out coriander and citrus zest. Flavour is crisp, with big coriander notes, citrus and soft wheaty notes. Lots of coriander and dry citrus. Good stuff for the style.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 22. Pours black, modest tan head. Decent dark ale, fairly light bodied with fleeting liquoricey glimpses and distant toffee. Drinks well.

300ml bottle from Gnarly Vines. Clear , very pale yellow colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of rice, fruity, melon. Taste is rice, fruity, melon, caramel hint, grassy boozy. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.
