Tap at Craftheads. Pale blond colour with small white head. Aroma is bit herbal, pear, yeasty. Taste is crisp, herbal again. Nice enough, but possibly a bit plain.

Draft at One’s Brewery, Osaka. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of earl grey tea strongly present with soluable painkillers and lemonade notes. Flavour is above moderate sweet. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at One’s Brewery, Osaka. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, yeasty, orange citrus, herbal tea. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a crisp, fresh malty, light tart, orange, tangerine, light earl grey palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap @ Beer Boy, Nakameguro. Hazy orange pour with some foam on the top. Leaving decent lacings. Tropical fruits in the nose but quite faint, somewhat buried under vegetal grassy thing. Still pleasant, just not intense enough. Tastes tropical too, bitterness somewhat rough though, covering pretty much everything with its heavy blanket. Grassy and vegetal (I guess that vegetal part is coming from sweet potato). Aftertaste has some lingering harshness. Overall not too bad but could be improved a lot.

The 2018 edition of Johana’s Ore no Aji is a NEIPA. The orange juice looking beer has a tangy citrus juicy aroma that matches the look. Medium to light bodied and surprisingly raspy + dry. The taste is earthy citrus, it’s alright though a dry NEIPA is pretty weird. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Beer Boy in Nakameguro. Hazy yellow orange pour, kind of muddy type of haze there. Nose has some fruits, tropical and coated with a light layer of honey. Taste has fruits also, tropical and pretty good. Lacks carbonation and also bitterness. Not even hop dust tingle there. This beer has potential but now it drinks a bit heavier than it should. Overall not bad though.

Apparently this is a NEIPA. Tap at Craft Beer Holiday. Johana Masaru IPA 6% IBU 60 Cloudy gold with a soapy white head and a sweet juicy aroma, maybe a bit of butterscotch diacetyl but less than in Nangokukiban. Medium bodied and pretty dry for a NEIPA, the taste has a buttery character up front mixed with lots of juicy hazy hop goodness. Abrasive carbonic body this beer has the makings of greatness but doesn’t seem to come together well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Shinbashi iBREW. Pours golden, almost cleast, just lightly cloudy. Some white foam on top, stays for a bit. Bitter and herbal nose, somewhat harsh, grainy but laks fruitiness. Taste is also dry, getting some yeast character and just plan dry bitterness. What is gone on me and overall feeling that this print is actually a bit much, was hoping for something quite different. Will finish this but a bit disappointed.
