Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours very hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, resinous hops, light fruits, orange peel and light caramel malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2015. Deeper orange, creamy white head. Nose is odd plastic, herbal spices, esters, banana, messy,… Taste is herbal, medicinal, herbal, ginger candy, Chinese spices, very odd hop profile, herbal,… Sweet sugar, spices, malty body. Doesn’t really work for me. It seems like most of the beers I try by this brewery fall short of my expectations. Too bad, I wanted to love them.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear light orange color, medium sized, dense off-white head that lasts for quite a long time and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is heavy gin and some sort of weirdness, it reminds me of a cleaning agent or something. Taste to me is a mix of light bitter, cucumber freshness, a slight fruity hint and an unusual gin flavor. Quite easy drinkable, quite refreshing as well. Dislike the aroma, but the flavor is pretty nice. Impressive brew, but I must say it’s not a beer I will drink liters of.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque murky yellow color, small quickly disappearing off-white head. Aroma is a mix of typical German Hefeweizen flavors and a fresh red orange based saison. Taste wheat, blood oranges, fruit juice, soft citrussy bitterness alongside a slight yeasty sweetness. Suitable body and carbonation. Pretty nice, very refreshing.

Sampled draft @ Van Moll Fest 2015. Very dark brown, blackish, small white head. Nose is cacao powder, cacao puffs, chocolate which feels a touch artificial, a touch thin. Taste is a bit herbal, cacao powder, almost a hint vegetable, vanilla, sweetish, licorice & touch molasses. Body is herbal & touch thin. Rather odd but okay beer. A good starting point for Benzai’s 20k beer.

Sampled draft @ Oersoep Craft Beer Festival 2015. Very hazy, small white. Nose is sweetish, dull, light metal, pine, touch resin. Taste is odd plastic, pine resin, light floral, herbal, quite dull,… A bit herbal body. A bit dull esp. for something with this much additional ingredients. Okay.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
