Description
Hi, we’re Van Moll. We’re crazy about beer, which is why we brew it. In 2013 we opened a brew pub in the heart of Eindhoven – our very own flavour lab where everyone can sample our creations. Best idea ever!
We try to delight daily with exciting new tastes and flavours. We experiment and balance, treading the fine line between bold and brazen, without going over the top. A fixed selection of core beers and a varied range of exceptional specials.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, that’s when the adventure really starts. We mix tradition and knowledge with a dash of confidence and cockiness to brew up the perfect party. And that’s exactly what it is: a party for the palate for all who dare.

Tap @ De Drie Dorstige Herten, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, slight grassy. Incredibly bitter taste, lots of grapefruit, almost astringent. Seems to be way out of balance towards extreme bitterness. Nice experiment, but I prefer their more balanced IPAs.

Bottle at home, hazy golden beer with a small head, aroma not much, some hints of citrus/fruit, taste is some citrus/fruit, yeast, somewhat bitter... hmm maybe its that its 4 months old but, or its just a bit flat... still not bad.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2015) Dark amber colour with creamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, orange peel and pink grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, blood orange, grapefruit, rye bread and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Quite tasty, with the rye character shining through more and more, making it a bit hollow after a while. Still, nice one.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear yellow to orange color, full sized dense, creamy white head that lasts for a long time and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is lovely hoppy, floral, fruity hops, tropical fruits. Oh that aroma..Can’t stop smelling it. Taste lightly malts, hops, fruit hops, very floral, lovely perfectly suitable bitterness. Lingering fruityness and bitterness, lightly dry finish, medium body, a bit firm carbonated although that lessens after a while. Great beer by Van Moll again! (this was batch 1) -- Tried batch 2 on August 1st 2015 and found it to be significantly less good. Too young imo (brewer agreed) and therefor mostly grassy and not nearly as much fruity / fruit hop / tropical fruit in both aroma and taste. Would rate it about a 3.7-3.8 now I’d say.

Bottle 33cl from Benzai. Many thanks. Dark brown, light brown foam. Lively carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Light caramel. Bitter finish. Well balanced and drinkable. Not the massive syrupy imperial stout but complex and refined. Very good!

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Lightly hazy orange color, medium sized white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is soft tropical fruits, fruity hops. Taste lightly malts, fruit hops, tropical fruits lightly, some mango softly, nicely bitter. Suitable body and carbonation. Very nice session ale again although the ABV is getting a bit high for this sort of beer imo.
