Murky dark yellow colour. Aroma has a hint of honey but is also sweet and syrupy like the juice of canned fruits. This comes through in the flavour too. Also has a sharp tang. Sweet and slightly sour.

Hazy brown colour. Light hoppy aroma with hints of tropical fruits. Smooth taste. A nice harmony of malts, rye and hop.

Re-rate from tap @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark brown color with a medium sized brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, chocolate. A very nice aftertaste of malts, brown malts, brown malt bitter. Lingering bitter finish and moderately dry. Lovely. -- Original rating: Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark brown color with a slight red glare coming through, thick long lasting creamy beige to light brown head that leaves perfect lacing. Aroma is malts, brown malts, coffee roast and rye. Taste malts, brown malts, coffee roast, a light sourish hint that doesn’t do the beer good imo. Medium body, suitable carbonation. 8-4-6-4-12 [3.4]

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Murky orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, lightly hops, lightly fruity. Decent body, firm carbonation. Not bad.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque very dark brown to black color, medium to full sized thick brown head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, roast, whiskey and firm peat and iodine. Taste malts, roast, whiskey, subtle peat very well blended in somehow, good bitterness. Perhaps a bit thin texture - wise, but a good body nonetheless and suitable carbonation. Well done, although I’d love to try this with a bit more syropy, thick texture.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear rusty orange color, medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, nicely hoppy, typical Nelson Sauvin aroma which reminds me a little of "viltstift". Tastes moderately malty, decently hoppy, again typical Nelson Sauvin flavors, medium bitterness. Decent body, medium carbonation. Good but not my favourite hop.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque pitch black color, full sized medium to dark brown colored head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, roasted malts and huge espresso. Taste malts, huge espresso, coffee bitter. Very nice espresso roast and espresso bitter, a bit too firm carbonated, body is decent but not full enough to support the huge coffee and espresso roast, dry finish where I would have liked it to be more smooth, syrupy and full. -- Note: when I told the brewer this he promised to brew another variant with a higher ABV, a fuller body and less dry. Well Erwin, just wait for my 10k beer recipe ;)
