Can, courtesy of Ryan; 2022; 10.9%
Dark amber colour. Aroma of alcohol and perfume, some caramel. Full bodied, moderately sweet; common Canadian Barley Wine (i.e. not great) playing the notes of caramel, toasted nuts; a bit boozy.
It's ok.

Poured from 355mL can (2022 vintage; abv listed as 10.9%; canned 01/18/23; thanks Cindy). Mahogany brown with small beige head. Lots of raisin and dark fruits, toffee, feint hint of metallic-ness, a little bit boozy.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a near clear rose with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of slightly tart cherry with a hint of of grain and a light barrel note underlying. Flavor has tart cherry and a good amount of oak with some light funk and a hint of cinnamon coming through.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of grainy pale malt and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt and grassy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with an oily to watery texture and average carbonation. Drinks more like an IPL than a fresh hop IPA. Disappointing.

Poured from 473mL can (thanks Cindy; canned 10/13/2023). Clear yellow gold with small white head. Subdued biscuit malt, leafy pine and herbaceous hops. Decent.

pitch black color. Amazing nose of dark chocolate coconut, vanilla and oak. The barrel character is amazing. Low carbonation, sweet and modestly boozy, the vanilla, oak and chocolate work is beautiful harmony. The palate is wonderful This is fantastic and great depth.

Tasting ar Ryan's, bottle; vintage 2023
Hazy blond colour. The aroma is different from any other beer; there's some foot, acidity, vomit, fruit, wine barrel. Sharp acidity, nice funk, fruit, grapes, but also a bit of yeasty/cheesy note.

Dark brown colour, near black. Nice chocolate beer, it's mildly sweet (when put next to modern ultrasweet stouts), and the alcohol is very evident, more than the character of the bourbon; so the body is lean, and there is room for roasted malt in the finish. Side to side with the Elijah Craig verion, this one is boozier, harsher, drier.
Good.

Dark brown colour, near black. Nice chocolate beer, moderately sweet, but also very boozy; drank side to side with the Knob Creek, this one has better qualities, the mouthfeel is rounder, arguably it seems a bit sweeter, while the barrel comes through quite hars as well; mellower finish.
.Very good.

500ml @ Ryan's shared with Alex and Farees. Appearance: very nice purple with a deep rose head. Aroma: nice sour cherries, cherry skins, and stones. Taste: along the same lines, lots of cherries, maybe some cherry syrup. Overall: good one.
