Description
Exit Brewing fell from the minds of two Melbournians, who decided to exit their corporate I.T. jobs and follow their passion for brewing beer. Now the family-owned business is led by founder and brewer, Grum Knight, and offers an iconic core range that keeps true to the founding principles of quality and honesty. Our story began with the release of a Saison farmhouse ale back in 2014. Since then, we have added a few more of our favourite styles including a bold yet balanced Pale Ale, the complex American-style AIBA trophy winning Amber Ale, the rich smooth AIBA trophy winning Milk Stout and a hoppy West Coast-style IPA. These year-round releases are complemented by our limited release program that pays homage to our original numbered batches. We’re a fully independent brewery located in Melbourne’s South East, with a small but mighty team of incredible people who continually strive to keep ‘craft’ at the heart of what we do.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Big thanks to our main man down under - Josh. Hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Light and sweetish caramel malt. A whisper of smoke. Mellow tangy fruits. Light semi dry finish. Good for the style and a decent beer.

Bottle. Clear amber with a large off white head that lasts very well. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, some pineapple, a little biscuit. Medium bodied, oily, moderate carbonation. A little biscuity sweetness lots of pine, grapefruit. Finish is dry with strong bitterness. A little boozy at the end too. Very fresh, a little on the loud side for me. Pretty good.

Bottle. Black with an inch of light tan head. Milk chocolate aroma, a little earthy, light floral notes. Carbonation is a little high, but texture is still pretty silky. Not all that sweet. Chocolate, oats, gentle earthy roastiness, mild spicy bitterness. Pretty good - low key but mouthfilling and soothing.
