Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen. Bof.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a big, beautiful, creamy, light brown head. Scents include ripe fruit, cocoa, roasted malts and caramel. First swig was creamy and sweet with flavours of caramel and roasted malt being the most predominant. Finish is thick, sweet and roasty with malt flavours lingering.

Rating cause that was all that was available tonight other than Bud. Straight from the can. Not much aroma other than a biscuity cardboard. (Says a distinctive hop aroma? Hmmm.) Flavors include some light fruit and hops but its primarily a malty cardboard. A notch above an industrial.

Okanagan Spring 12-pack mixer with this winter seasonal in it. Now in Quebec for the first time. Pours a clean amber-copper colour with a nice beige, creamy head, great retention and lots of sticky lace. Pretty malty aromas with some roasted ones, caramel, nuts, and hints of chocolate. Quite nice actually and expecting way less, as it says "mild". Lightly bodied, but a decent smoothness to it. The taste is where it shows mild. Still, light roasted grain, wet toffee and a little hop in the finish. Not a bad beer for a macro.

Poured from the tap. Clear copper brown with minimal white head. Mild caramel malt, metallic with some bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. Goes down very watery with no finish. Boring.

Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aroma is like a dry stout, leading one to believe it is a dry stout. Full malty flavour, creamy body. Malt finish. Does not taste as strong as it is.

Part of their Summer Craft mixed 6-pack at the LCBO. This seasonal pours a hazy, amber colour with an off-white frothy head, good retention and patching lacing. Fresh dried apricot nose. The apricot is more subtle in the taste, with more of the wheat coming out. A little sweet, but not too much to ruin your taste buds after one bottle, or become heavy. The body leans on the light side, so this helps out as well. Makes this one an easy-drinking, fruity wheat beer for summer.
