The beer has the word daddy in the name so that’ll do for a Father’s Day drink… Weathered Souls Puft Daddy and the Berries Berlinerweisse 6% Lovely salmon pink color with a big berry and vanilla aroma. Medium bodied and dry but with a sweet berry vanilla flavor. Pretty good balance of tart and sweet. Think berry ice cream.

Weathered Souls is a pretty nice brewery out of San Antonio, TX. Weathered Souls Habitual Line Stepper Double Imperial Stout with coffee14.2% Deep viscous black pour with a rusty thin topping of foam that was gone in a flash. The aroma gave me a sort of vegetal habanero thing so much so I looked up online if there was any in it. I guess it was the coffee, after breathing for a bit I got a more classic roasted coffee aroma with some savory dark chocolate syrup to it. Full luscious velvety body with an ultra-soft mouthfeel. Loads of heat which considering the high ABV it isn’t a surprise. The taste is roasted coffee beans with rich bitter dark chocolate. Impressive stuff.

16 ounce can from Tavour. This version comes in at 12% ABV. Jet black pour. Brief tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma hints at vanilla and cinnamon. Flavor is rich and robust. Notes of dark brewed coffee, vanilla and cinnamon. Added notes of molasses and maple syrup. Boozy undertones. Maybe some charred wood, as well. Certainly interesting.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma seems grassy. Med body. Flavor is woody/earthy, biscuit, grass. Pretty dry. Decently bitter - some oak astringency helps that. Very nice.
