Can at home in London - picked up in VT. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Clean rindy citrus in the nose, some dry pale bread, hay. Light sweet flavour with some orange and tangerine rind, biscuit, light cracker. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced in the finish, though not inspiring, with more rindy citrus bitterness, crispy pale and lightly crackery malts, some bitter grain husk, lemon peel, straw. Overall, a very drinkable SIPA.

16 oz. can, purchased at7 Eleven, Kittery, ME. Canning date of 6/6/16. Hazy gold like color with thin lasting head in a standard shaker glass. Aroma shows me white bread, grain, and pine resin. Maybe even black pepper.
Grain backbone with easy about of malt. The bitterness is here just enough to let you know it is not an APA. That said the body is lean with a sweet malt finish. Standard offering but it drinks well and doesn’t show any problems.

16 oz. can purchased at 7 Eleven, Kittery, ME. Canned on 6/6/16. Lightly hazy golden color with slow receding head retention. Aroma is decent amount of floral and citrus hops. This smells like the hoppiest damn golden ale I have had in awhile.
The floral hops are large with the grain/ cereal / malt / honey giving the base. Body is light with a light bitterness after the sip. This comes off more like a session IPA. Pretty easy drinking.

16 oz. can purchased at 7 Eleven, Kittery, ME. Canned on 6/3/16. Lightly hazy golden color with slow dying head. Aroma is banana, clove, light amounts of bubblegum.
The flavor has cereal grain base with the correct German yeast byproducts. The carbonation is low but for me it’s still ok. The body is medium with all the correct flavors and no flaws. I killed the can easy, but I really enjoy the style overall. I feel some have been a tad harsh to this.

Draft at On Tap Bar & Grill, Essex Junction.
Yeah, so they poured it into a pint glass, but I think I get all appropriate characteristics of the style for this one. Here’s the rest.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt rusty orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that quickly dissipated.
The smell started off with all of the normal characteristics of a good hefeweizen = strong sweet bubblegum up front and then the banana esters and a sly amount of clove.
The flavor is basically the same. But the aftertaste leans more towards the sweet bubblegum than expected with a definite sweet bubblegum finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a spectacular sessionability about it. Carbonation rides fairly light. Some stickiness, slightly leaning towards the bubblegum, clove doesn’t hit as hard as could have been like some other hefeweizens.
Overall, I’d say its a good one for the most part, could be a decent starter hefeweizen for people who like the sweeter side of a hefeweizen. I didn’t mind for me.

Very hazy golden and straw orange and copper tinted body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, grass, pine, flowers and quite a bit of bread and malt notes throughout. Medium-bodied; Mild malt flavours at first with a tiny amount of hops with a little sweetness and a lot of bread and yeastiness. Aftertaste is fairly weak and mild with only some flowers, yeast and bread coming through - even that is watery. Overall, a pretty poor offering throughouht with some grass, but mostly a touch of hops and a lot of bread and yeastiness with no complexity and no real strong flavours. This definitely isn’t an Imperial IPA (you could tell that from seeing 7,0% abv) and isn’t worth trying nor bringing home in your suitcase, like I did! I sampled this 473 mL can purchased from Marche des Saveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 14-February-2016 for CA$2,95 sampled at home in Washington on 04-June-2016.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy-foamy head creating some thick lacing. Grainy aromas with pretty nice, fresh hoppy notes. The taste starts off with the grain, caramel malts especially going into the grassy hops. The finish is bitter, sharp and a little dry. The caramel also comes out with time in the nose, resulting in some sweetness over the grassiness. An overall pretty good IPA. Not a hopbomb and that’s fine.
