Description
At The Unknown Brewing Company we are more than just a name. A name does not mean you make good beer, and good beer does not have to have a name.

Our job is to stand out. We are the open road with no destination. We are your first kiss or your last time jumping out of an airplane, or whatever your wildest adventure is. We are The Unknown.

So if you need us to have a name, make one up. If you make one up we prefer you call us something with adventure, or America, or dragons or something epic. That would be awesome. All we know is that we are good people whose mission is to make really great beer and have fun doing it. So our call to you... Step into the Unknown

Pinkish hue and sweet aroma. Slightly sweet and funky taste., very mild choir flavor dominated by the other flavors. Dry finish.

Undated can A: Thickly murky dark dull orange pour with 1/4 of beige foam. Good retention and thick lace. S: Malty caramel and toffee scent with no discernible hop notes. Maybe a hint of orange. A chemical note. Acetone. T: OK so there's some hops here in the form of bitter citrus pith. Orange, grapefruit and lemon-lime notes present alongside a malty wall of toasted bread. Moderate sweetness provides some balance. M: Thick texture, average carbonation and a fairly dry finish. O: Looks unappealing, smells old and stale but tastes fairly decent. Unknown has finally started dating their sixpack carriers but still not the cans. Baby steps but still unacceptable.

Nearly no nose, thin, it's sweet but short finish on the flavor.

Smells like a cool, wet day in the pine forest. Taste is earthy hops and tinny without having typical hop bitterness. Almost subtle mint or menthol in the finish.

2 month old pint can A: Poured very little head atop a clear rusty orange body. Nice color. S: Herbal hops, wood and dried leaves. T: Malt sweetness noticed first, quickly joined by piney and tart citrus and stone fruit (cherry?) hops. Bitter aftertaste. Very nice balance. M: Low to average carbonation level, medium body and a clean finish. O: Surprisingly good. I find many marzens too sweet but this is very tasty and beautifully balanced.

Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is rum, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is rum, lime, and salty.
