On draught at Brothers Provisions. Clear pale golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of herbal hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of floral hops, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is dry with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at the Watering Hole. Boozy, lots of caramel, light spice, full bodied, maybe too much so. Almost coffee in the fruity booziness. Some bitterness too. Nice though, but it's a smack in the face. Too strong for me. Reminiscent of one of those Belgian Scotch Ales in the 500ml can...

Can from Beer Ma via Rakuten. Benchmark Brewing Oatmeal Stout 4.7% Deep inky black with ruby highlights and a thick tan head of foam. The aroma is soft cocoa and toasted oats. Fairly full bodied with a carbonic bite. The taste is dark chocolate, cocoa, oats and roasty caramel. Very solid stout.

Pour is a dark brown-red with a small tan head. Aroma is sugar plums with some treacle. Flavor is more candied dark fruit with some dark honey and molasses. It is not often a brewer puts the word "boozy" on the label but this ones does and I really don't get much alcohol burn which I am fine with. This was a fine wee heavy ale. Lots of sweet dark malt and a warming but not felt alcohol.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a very light roast with some cocoa nib sweetness. Flavor is again a minor roasted malt but then I get a dry roasted coffee. Finish is a little sweetness to offset the roast. Pretty flavorful low alcohol stout.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and dark malt. Near med body. Flavor seems a bit smoky to me. Then there's chocolate and dark malt. Pretty dry. A dark chocolate bitter. Pretty tasty for a session beer. Couldn't find coffee.

This brown ale is damn near black with a beige head. Lightly toasty cocoa aroma. Light bodied and dry. The taste is toasty/toasty with touches of molasses. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
