cloudy medium Amber color. Big malty sweet nose with caramel, very yeasty nose. Very yeasty, kinda sake like finish. Very nice.

Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Subtitled: Coffee Nut Brown Ale. Pours dark ruby (when held against very strong light) with a beige head. Aroma is earthy coffee. It coats the tongue. Med + body (foamy carbonation). Flavor is really nice coffee with some chocolate notes. Not getting much identifiable hop. It’s mildly bitter, but that could be the coffee. It’s a really tasty ale, and it’s a great drink.

Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours a ruddy brown, not dark dark, with a slight beige head. Aroma of some interesting fruits. Kind of musty grape. Med body at least. Flavor is grape, with perhaps some med dark fruits, and dry, dry malt. What a contradiction there. It is very like drinking a dry red wine - well more than a sweetish malty thing. Suggests wood. This is amazingly well done. Not a trace of heat. Not getting significant Belgian yeast aspects. This is a beer that goes beyond the standard. With some time I think I’m getting a bit of heat. Anyone rating this stuff should take some deep thoughts about appreciating the exceptional and unexpected.

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has good fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts bring modest sweetness. Hops are a rich dry pithy orange. Dried fruits. Mild spice. Orange peel. Light dry bitterish finish. Drinkable but it lacks brightness.

Bottle shared. Amber color with some caramel and faint durian notes in the background. Lots of yeast action going on. Super bitter on the palate...borderline astringent. Highly carbonated with a dry, burned yeast finish. Fun, but too bitter. --- Beer merged from original tick of Shojo IPA on 03 Sep 2016 at 17:29 - Score: 5. Original review text: Bitter, yeasty. Highly carbonated. Meh.

Pours creamy amber, somehow I got a huge foamy head also. Tropical fruits in the aroma, nice yeasty character. Bitter bitter. Quite rough and not sure if it’s balanced, could drink more though. Some hop skunk coming out just before the dry bitter finish kicks in.

Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours really dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of earthy dark chocolate and bourbon. Med + body. Flavor is bourbon, dark treacle, earth, chocolate. There’s a bit of heat burn, but that’s just in good fun. There’s a lot of Jack in this ale. Yums the word.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark gold/white head. Sort of herb aroma. Med + body. Flavor is sort of mildly, mildly sweet herb/tropical fruit maybe with citrus. It’s a complex kind of flavor, tho not like a BA IS thing. Different, but tasty. Finishes decently bitter.

22oz bottle, bought by and shared with my son on 21st May 2016. Amber bodied with an off-white head. Hoppy blend with a healthy malt base which gave the brew a semi-sweet and semi-bitter flavor, decent stuff.
