Reddish brown. Very light bodied for a Scotch ale. Grassy and smokey. 5.6%..

Medium chestnut colour, some caramel and earthy malts. Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing right either. I've had a hundred beers just like it.

Gold, some herbal hops, good malt character, light body; crisp finish. Not really a koelsch, but at least they made the effort, unlike a lot of American brewers who pretend that they're brewing this style.

Light gold, slightly malt-accented, touch of hop crispness. Overall not very exciting, but a reasonable example of the style.

The brewery claims this is one of three pale scotch ales in the world. So why is it dark reddish-amber? Regardless, this is a smokey, richly malty, full-bodied example. Very straightforward, but enjoyable.
