Aroma of pepper and hops with a twist of citrus. Pours amber orange with some head and really good lacing. Medium carbonation. Taste has some spice and bitterness. This is more than a premium lager but less than an IPA. Like an IPA for beginners. On tap at Beer Academy.

Can: Poured a clear brown color alt with a large foamy head with good retention and some alight lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with chewy biscuit malt is quite great. Taste is a great mix between some dry caramel malt with light roasted nuts and chewy gain. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Pretty bang on to style, great drinkability and very enjoyable.

A dark amber alt with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a nutty metallic malt with light green pepper notes, vegetal. In mouth, a nice nutty malt with grassy notes, roasted character, not bad, but a bit underwhelming.

Draft@Fiddler River, Jasper, Canada. Amber beer with a relatively strong head. The aroma is gently hopped, and the flavour is bitter with a yeasty and dry finish. Overall a pretty average lager like amber ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(500mL can from LCBO) Poured cool, a very hazy brownish orange with a moderate white head that disappeared instantly. Aroma grainy malts, some light citrus and a bit of grassy herbs and spices. Flavour is cereal malt and some caramel, spice from the yeast and grassy hops, moderately sweet with a little bitterness towards the finish. Quite light-bodied, fairly soft carbonation. An OK kellerbier but nothing on the best examples from Germany, with relatively light yeast and hops character and a weak finish.

Canette 473ml. De couleur ambrée foncée et claire. Nez de grains de malt caramélisés et aux notes rôties, de noix, de pain ainsi que léger de houblon herbeux, floral et aux notes terreuses. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement huileuse. Goût de grains de céréales légèrement rôtis avec un léger goût de noix asséchant dès l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de pain grillé et des notes de caramel toffee et quelques traces subtiles de chocolat noir puis en finale l’on retrouve une moyenne amertume asséchante de houblon herbeux avec des petites notes terreuses. Post-goût moyen et sec, moyennement amer de houblon herbeux, léger de rôti et avec des notes de noix.

Smells saazy, though I could be wrong on that. Pours golden with some decent duration head. Taste has a little bitterness and some crips malt. A touch of sweetness on the long term aftertaste. Alright for style. Tall can.

This ale poured a Deep amber colour with a big, beautiful, off white head. To the nose there are scents of light caramel, earthy notes and suttle floral hops. First sip was smooth and lightly carbonated with flavours of malt, caramel and toast. Light hoppy bitterness in the finish. Still has that Creemore Springs flavour like their other beers... which is a good thing.

Single can, but from an open 12-pack at the LCBO. Pours a dark amber colour that is clear with a big frothy light-beige head, with average retention and lots of dirty-foam lace. Big aromas of bread and darker cereal, with some alcohol, caramel and hop. Very active tiny bubble carbonation creating a nice creamy top on the brew. It even give the mouthfeel a creaminess. Very well-balanced taste between the cereal malts and some hoppy bitterness. Beautiful collaboration between this Ontario brewer and a German specialist of the Altbier, Zum SchlĂĽssel. Definitely worth trying !

Not bad. Purs dark brown, a little clody. Some xaramel, some residual bitterness in taste, oaly as per style. Like most of creemores beers, its decent for style at least. Good to see them reaching out to Germany at least. Tall can.
