Very clear, golden and light amber coloured body with a thin, pure white head, only a centimetre or so tall. Aroma of grass, light tropical fruits and a heavy hand of malts with the caramel and sweetness coming through. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and malty flavours at first with only a tiny touch of the hops, and in more assertive and bitter nutty and super biscuity flavours towards the end. Aftertaste shows the malts way more than any hops with a bitter, biscuity flavour towards the end and no real hop profile at all, despite being a 'west coast ipa'. Overall, not such a good option for a beer and especially in the style - this was an APA at best, and not a very good one. Nice to try, given that I won't find it back on the mainland, but aside from that - not worth trying to find, especially if you want something hoppy. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Food Pantry [express] on Kuhio in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$10,88/six pack sampled the day after arriving to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 27-December-2018.

Deep super hazy amber and bright light brown coloured body with a relatively thinnish tan head, about a centimetre tall, all very large bubbled. Aroma of super pungent chiles with jalepenos, some amber malts and nuts with a relatively strong earthy scent. Medium-bodied; Strong jalepeno flavour at first with a big bite of malt, caramel and some earth, but the chiles show up strong, but then fade quite quickly. Aftertaste shows the chiles at first, but a lot of toasted malt, some very light caramelised sugars and a light dose of nuts that go down fairly easily, especially after considering the spicey flavours at first. Overall, a fairly nice beer, especially given that for a spicey beer is fairly hard to execute, but with the flavour profile and layering of tastes, a pretty good example. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased a few minutes ago from Dean & Deluca [market] in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i on 27-December-2018 for US$4,00 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room here in Waikiki, Hawai'i on 27-December-2018.

Very nice hazy golden and bronzed coloured body with a smooth, two centimetre tall head that is a bit soapy, but showing some froth on the sides. Aroma of pure wheat, a light dose of lemons, some mellow spice notes like nutmeg and coriander seed with a tiny touch of pure caster sugar sweetness near the end. Light-bodied; Sharp flavour from the wheat with a light grassy and dry note from grain and some softer fruits noticeable a bit later. Aftertaste shows some dry wheat, a touch of grasses and light herbs with only a bit of the spice coming through and no real sweetness at the end - just dry and very clean drinking wheats. Overall, a pretty standard hef with a palatable bite, some nice dry and clean notes, but no sweetness and no real complexities at all makes this a decent drink, but definitely not something to try to come out and find if you are here in Hawai'i. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Food Pantry [express] on Kuhio in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$10,88/six pack sampled a few minutes after coming to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 26-December-2018.

Tap. Pours clear amber, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is full of fresh jalapeno. Flavor is jalapeno, caramel, hints of pine. Medium body, low carbonation.

Tap. Pours clear golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is dank, grapefruit, armpit, tropical. Flavors is light sweet, light plus bitter. Lightish body. Could use some more mouthfeel, but solid.
