Cloudy dark red pour, with a huge pink head. Huge black currant aroma, with a vegetal twinge. Bright mouth feel, incredibly tart, soft carb. The finish is incredibly sour, huge black currant notes, with the slightest of barrel notes. The sweetness of the brandy barrel emparta a light grape juice quality that cuts some of the tartness. Nice stuff.

Can from the brewery. Hazy yellow pour, with one of the largest, rockiest heads I've ever seen. The aroma is grassy, hints of lemon and pale cereals. Light mouth feel, lively carb. Crisp, clean, very effervescent, bright citrus and medium bitter.

Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy copper pour, with a small, bubble white head. Aroma is very lactic, very tart, with a distinct nutty aroma, woody, and earthy with hints of an oddly place herbal, mint. Mouth feel is watery, and the carb is basically flat. The finish is earthy, and sharp. Woody, and the barrel dominates the end. Not as complex as you'd thing from the description. Maple syrup is nowhere to be found, light nuttiness in the aroma and the barrel dominates the finish with an earthy woodiness mixed with a medium tartness.
