Bottle; Poured a clear brown color Altbier with a large off-white foamy head with good carbonation with some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some light residual sugar notes is quite pleasant. Taste is dominated by caramelized notes with light hazelnut notes and dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Solid take on the style with good drinkability.

A reddish burgundy raspberry ale with very thin white head. In aroma, nice raspberry jam with light acidity and tropical fruit. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity raspberry jam, light acidity, pleasant.

A hazed golden yellow pale ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, pleasant.

Vibrant orangey-amber colour, with just a slight chill haze. Thin head. Fairly bright c-hop bringing orange, pine, and also a fairly substantial biscuity malt. Moderate sweetness forms the base, although it seems to wane in the finish...that finish gets watery because there's moderate bitterness that also fades. It's good til then, but I always find it weird when a beer kicks things off wonderfully with a nice pour and some dry-hopping, and then it kind of stops trying and goes downhill from there. Don't peak in high school.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and black chocolate notes with some vinous notes and light residual sugar notes. Taste is a mix of roasted malt and black chocolate with some vinous notes and light residual sugar notes from the port wine barrels. Body is about average with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Interesting mix of flavours thought not sure port barrels are the best to mix with imperial stout flavours.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark foamy head with light retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some chocolate notes with some port wine notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt notes with some chocolate notes and vinous notes with light acidic touch. Body is below average for style with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Flavors are slightly off with too much acidic notes.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Golden colour, bright, hazy to cloudy. The aroma is mildly piney; the malt base is strong, moderately sweet, with very light caramel accents; the hop flavour is full resinous and piney PNW style, with robust bitterness. Solid

Can, Cask & Barrel. Typical pale amber and hazy appearance with some frothy head. The aroma mixes allium, pine and a bit of grapefruit. On the palate, starts sweet, though it's a fairly pleasant sweetness, mellow balance, and a decent citrusy hop note. All told, decent IPA.
