About
Henderson Brewery was founded in 2013, after industry veterans and beer lovers Steve Himel and Adin Wener decided there was an opportunity to apply craft brewing values and techniques to more approachable beer styles, in order to make beer that anyone would be happy to find in their fridge day after day.
Work began on our Sterling Road brewery in the summer of 2015. In January 2016, we sold our first beer at The Rhino in Parkdale and by May of that year, our taproom and bottle shop were in full swing!
Over the past decade, we've brewed hundreds of different styles, hosted hundreds of thousands of people, packaged millions of litres of beer, and won dozens of brewing awards

Can from the brewery. Pours a pink orange, sheet of white head. Light bready malt, middlingly sweet, some tangerine, peach, berry. All underpinned with a light bitterness that lingers. Different. Decent balance, fairly drinkable.

Rush beer. On tap at YYZ. Is there anything more perfect? This one is for you, Professor.

Pils aren't usually my thing, but this comes off well. Bright hay malts, clover honey, mild bitterness that lingers. Decent.

Oh boy, quite a sweet smell for a double dry-hopped IPA, with caramel malts and pineapple notes, fruitiness. A very slight hazed, unfiltered with a frothy white cap, good retention and thick foamy lacing left. The nose balances out with breathing time. The mouthfeel does show the dryness. Some fruity hops in the taste showing citrus, tropical fruits and mild grassiness. Not a bad brew, but not my type of IPA I like to have every night.

Pretty standard good Baltic. Chocolate and coffee, a little booze, sweet malt, lingering bitter finish. Decent.

Golden colour with very tiny particles running through it. The white head is frothy, soapy with decent stay and some foamy spots left on the glass. Grassy, fresh herbal hop nose over straw malts, hints of bananas. The taste is less sweet-like feeling with the wheat, cereal grains coming out. A little dryness in the finish. An easy-drinking Canadian Golden Ale that is a touch better than macro ones.

Golden pour with dence white head. Taste of strong raspberry, sweet hay malts, esters, some booze notes, orange pith on the finish. Not a typical triple but decent.

Can from Henderson. Pours a rich golden caramel. Taste is nutty, rich malts with a notable but well balanced bitterness over a passible sweetness. A little resin, a breath of gingerbread. A pils? Nope. I would have sworn that there was some rye in there. But solidly good.

Slightly cloudy orange, golden, sheet of head with some lacing. Nose is hoppy resin, flowers ans sweet hay malt. Taste lots of resin, perfume, some floral, some lingering bitterness and pepper over fairly sweet hay malts. There is a little rough hop burn going on with this one.

2021 vintage bottle ordered from the brewery. Pours murky cola. Surprisingly nice, nose of boozy bourbon, vanilla oak, sweet molasses malt. Taste is thick sweet malt, boozy burdon, some bitterness and tannins-ish bite. Overall quite decent.
