Description
Henderson Brewery was founded in 2013, after industry veterans and beer lovers Steve Himel and Adin Wener decided there was an opportunity to apply craft brewing values and techniques to more approachable beer styles, in order to make beer that anyone would be happy to find in their fridge day after day.
Work began on our Sterling Road brewery in the summer of 2015. In January 2016, we sold our first beer at The Rhino in Parkdale and by May of that year, our taproom and bottle shop were in full swing!
Over the past decade, we've brewed hundreds of different styles, hosted hundreds of thousands of people, packaged millions of litres of beer, and won dozens of brewing awards

Very fruity grains and big yeasty aromas. Candi sugar, dark plums and ripe apples with alot of cereals. Finish is straw, more yeast, and some molasses. Boozy, and a very full mouth feel. A definitive sipper.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy yellow pour, small white head. Aroma is sharp hops, pine and some light fruit. Loads of wheat and very strong yeastiness. Thick mouth feel, lacks saison brightness, and crispness. Overly yeasty wheat ale.... Meh.

650ml Bomber from the lcbo. Clear Copper pour with a medium white head. Very bready, and malty, with some nice toffee and caramel notes. Good UK hops and some nice minerals. Solid mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is lightly bitter, and solid UK hops with great cereals. Solid bitter.

This light lager poured a golden yellow colour with a minimal soapy head. Minimal lacing. Scents include corn, perm solution, club soda and malt. First swig was ok. Drinkable, but thin as gas. Flavours of the smell of corn syrup, light hop and dough. Finish is hoppy with honey flavours lingering.

473ml can from Nick R. Chestnut brown pour is topped by a rocky beige head. Sweet toasted malt aroma hints at toffee and toasted nuts. Flavor is smooth and malty. Sweet caramel and earthy notes. Some hop bitterness on backend. Very true to the style.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, fizzy, short lived, light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild aroma of lightly roasted malt, cocoa, oak and bourbon. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, cherry, licorice, red grape and oak in a dry, mild bitter, bourbon warming finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Complex and abv is well hidden, but not a Saison. Drinks more like a Dark Sour. Interesting.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, fizzy, short lived, light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, cocoa, red grape skins, rum and oak. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, cocoa, tart cherry and oak in a dry, rum warming finish. Medium body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Lots of complexity and abv is well hidden, but not really getting any Saison notes. Drinks more like a Dark Sour. Enjoyable.

Grapefruit and pine. Decent enough IPA. Clear copper pour with ok head, some lacing. Bitter end. Medium body. Tap at Pearson airport, appropriately enough.
