Description
Henderson Brewery was founded in 2013, after industry veterans and beer lovers Steve Himel and Adin Wener decided there was an opportunity to apply craft brewing values and techniques to more approachable beer styles, in order to make beer that anyone would be happy to find in their fridge day after day.
Work began on our Sterling Road brewery in the summer of 2015. In January 2016, we sold our first beer at The Rhino in Parkdale and by May of that year, our taproom and bottle shop were in full swing!
Over the past decade, we've brewed hundreds of different styles, hosted hundreds of thousands of people, packaged millions of litres of beer, and won dozens of brewing awards

Rush taproom at YYZ, of course! Nice they did this outside security so you can visit without flying. Quite a strong hop profile, a bit citrusy and malty. Another nice one. Exclusive Rush beer for YYZ.

Second Italian Pilsner of the night (the first one being Boréale Relais Pilsner Italienne). Big spicy nose from the get-go with herbal notes blending things. A very slight unfiltered, golden colour with a frothy white head, good stay and some light lacing spots. The hops in this one gives enough bitterness for the style. The herbal side that Italian Pilsner have comes out eventually, and lingers. A decent Italian Pilsner from Ontario, and I have yet to find this style by a Quebec brewery done better.

Bottle from Foodery: pours pale gold with white head. Aroma is spicy, floral. Taste is sweetish, but with a dry finish. Fine. Not great.

Looks like this one I got in a can at the LCBO is from Spearhead, not Henderson. Dark brown colour with ruby and copper highlights. The head is frothy, light-beige, long lasting and leaving some decent lacing. Dark, burnt grains is the aroma with cherry, coffee notes. The cherries are quite hidden in the taste though, so mostly a Tmavý with some hop-grassy bitterness that slightly shows up with time. A decent dry finish results. Not a bad dark lager, but wish there was a bit more cherry purée to get it in the flavours.

This one poured hazy medium yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Minimal scents on all accounts…including citrus, grass and cardboard. First swig was smooth and creamy with flavours of light orange/tangerine citrus, hay and malt. Finish is mildly hoppy with light cardboard/basement flavours. Not bad at all.

This scotch ale poured a deep dark amber colour with a creamy brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include ripe fruit, alcohol, cardboard, candy and malt. First swig was very flavourful. Thick, rich, sweet… flavours of toffee, light sherry, mild black cherry and molasses. Finish is malty with sherry but notes lingering.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Clear-ish gold with very quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is honied raisin like a raisin bread. Taste same with some mild Belgian yeast character. Odd, but interesting and oddly enjoyable. Not much depth here and not picking up the wine must, but I don't mind sipping on this.
