GBBF Day 3. Keg. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and quite creamy sweet, little caramel. Ripe orange and orange peel.. Modest pine. Smooth and fairly dry finish.

Keg at GBBF. It pours clear golden yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, bready, doughy, cereal, airy malts and grass. The taste is dry, pithy, grassy, oily, peppery spicy, straw, herbal, lemon and soda water and cracker with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rounded and easy drinking.

Keg at GBBF. It pours hazy deep. Brown with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, cookie dough, fruit cake, cocoa and leather. The taste is bitter - sweet, earthy, roasted brown bread, spice, cookie dough, tannin, leather, caramel, toffee and some alcohol warmth. Medium - fine carbonation. Decent stuff, but perhaps a bit sweet.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth shindig 04/08/2018. Many thanks. A jet black coloured pour with a a loose tan head. Aroma is liquorice black malts, brown malts, pine, dirty pine. Flavour is composed of black malts liquorice little spicy, nutmeg,. Dirt pine. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, oily, ok. Bitter malt malts.

ABV: 7.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, spicy hops, woody hops. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy hops, dark malt, fruity malt, fruity hops, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180804]

Bottle thanks to Kernel. It pours deep brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet, oily, liquorice, aniseed, toffee, rocky road and toasted brown sugar. The taste is sweet, earthy roast, spice, umami, spice, salted caramel, charred wood and spice with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Chewy and toothy. Fair enough.
