Keg at Zly Casy, Praha, 12/07/17. Pitch black with a well appointed tan head that retains well. Nose is chocolate maltesers, roasted malts, light spice, toffee. Taste comprises bitter chocolate, molasses, hint of vanilla, charr, roast malts, light black peppery spice, charcoal, liquorice light. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a roasted coat and a lick of booze. Ok approachable impy but lacks depth for the ABV.

20th May 2017; Cotteridge #3. We were all supposed to bring no more that 1.5 litres of beer. John (jmgreenuk) ignored that and brought 3 litres (4 x .75 litre bottles) plus numberous smaller ones. He is the reason I woke up on a train that had already left my station and I got home rather latter than planned! Anyway John, thanks for the .75 litre of this. Amber pour, decent white head. Leaning towards a grainy, slightly sweet lager, hops well hidden. No real aroma or defining taste.

Bottle at Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours clear amber with a medium beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sticky malts, oat & raisin cookie, cola cubes, suagr and a hint of musty fart. The taste is soft, sweet, sugary, toasty grain, woody, leather, quite chewy, brown bread, cracker, spice, tang and some alcohol. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit too woody and chewy. Fair.
