Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-brown color with an enormous foamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet honey, caramel, fruity hops, herbal hops and dark fruits. The flavor was strong sweet molasses, cherry, honey, caramel, plum and cherry. Long finish. Medium body although overcarbonated. Quite nice.

On tap at hollywood gardens. Pale yellow with a thin silky head. Friendly floral aroma. Pretty impressive hops, could be a lighter IPA. Barely any CO2. Builds in bitterness thru the session and finishes with a medium long bitter back ofthe throat.

Typical BO new thing hop aroma. Looks like pale lager. At bocktown. If this is dipa, its one of the milder ones I’ve had. Yes, does coat the mouth wiht an almost cloying hand soap effect but I think it may even be on the lighter side of ipa territory. Bitter fer sure. Not really astringent, just bang up hop bitter.

Bomber thanks to Dan. Pours a pitch black color with a medium brown head. A nice aroma of lactose, berries, slightly sour aroma. The flavor is rich roasted malts, metallic, lactose (massive), sourness like blackberries, a bit of caramel. I love this type of stout, very British. Lovely palate, very soft and smooth. Great beer.

Bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark grains and chocolate with light roast and a hint of dryness. Flavor has more roasted malts with a sweet chocolate and a bit of dryness in the finish.

One of the better beers @ the bocktown tap. Nice pour, brown and hazy. Barely any aroma butI do get a mild tobacco smell. Odd, no? Mild CO2 sizzle. Tho it has a medium bitterness, there is a mudium mild attitude about this stuff. Hides the alky fairly well. Tries to be offensive but never quite gits there. If it didn’t have that slight bitter attittude, it would be more mannered.

First let me say that I am not a fan of Helltown beers, they are so over the top at times. However, this one was much better than expected. On tap at the Bocktown. Pretty dark, but not as dark as most stouts. No head. Has a very mild and attractive roasty stout aroma. When I saw the name of this I wsa expecting a impy stout. Not sure what is so perverse about this, its actually pretty good. Has manners, very friendly. Well behaved and friendly fer sure. Pleasant and rather fun. Does have some bitterness but never appraoches the bitterness you would expect for a 6% beer, hides its alky well. I kind of like this stuff. There was a layer of sediment on the bottom of my glass. Some mild sizzle in there. Yes, better than I thought it would be and the same on the finish.
