Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a black color with a trace tan head that faded instantly and left no lacing. The aroma was roasty wood and Bakers chocolate. The flavor was dry, woody and roasty with notes of Bakers chocolate and coffee. Long dry finish of wood, roasty malts and coffee. Medium body but undercarbonated. Eh.

750 ml thanks to Dan. Helltown is making some awesome stuff as far as I can tell! Pours a clear, fizzy golden color with a large thick white head. A light nose of sweet honey and fruit. A super clean flavor with oranges, lemon, some pepper, dust, finishes with big pepper. Very good and quaffable.

750 ml bottle, corked and caged thanks to Dan. Pours a totally clear golden color with a medium white head, must be filtered. A nice sweet nose of oranges, light spices. A really good flavor: super clean, peppery, very dry, apples, oranges, a light fruity hop, earthy at times. Very satisfying. Darn good.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark nut brown color with a trace soapy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was dry, bitter, floral. perfumey and had a strong pine presence. The flavor was bitter and harsh pine with undertones of sour caramel, tobacco, wood and a hint of cocoa. Long rough and bitter piney finish. Moderately full bodied. Did not do much for me at all.

Pleasant and with good character for a lower alcohol beer.

Had this at the bcktown monaca, a really nice place, especially in the afternoon. Cloudy hazy bubbly looking thing that is the color of vanilla yellah. Very attractive fer sure. Initially the buds tell me it is fruity and hoppy and the olfactory is perfumy aroma, very overwhelming. Hoppy bitter experince is awaiting the taster let me tell you, wew. Lubricating oily palate. This brew is evolving; nice fruity flavor then big green hoppy chewing on grapefruit rinds: enjoy! Impressive example of the style, rrrrrrrrr. Like IPA? Ignore these numbers.

On tap at the mad mex in south hills. Smell is mild floral hops. Slight haze on an otherwise pale lager looking brew. It however does have a nice head on it. Taste starts off medium bitter but rises to the ocasion thru evolution to a stronger bitter beer. Finally ends up big and bitter onthe finish, chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Rude oily pine tar sap mouth coating saopy experience, very on style. So, if you are into IPA, which I am not, better give this a try.
