On tap at the house of 1000 beers. From the bottom of the keg, it was kicking as this was poured. Clear yellow with a big head. Smells like an IPA, a little dull perhaps. Very on style bitter impressions on the taste buds. No co2. Long bitter chewing on green grapefruit rinds finish. On style but a little too much for a lager lover. However, if you like IPA or even double IPA, ignore my humanistic numbers and give this a try; its right up your bitter ip puckering alley!

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured an orange-amber color with a huge creamy orange-white head that faded and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, pineapple, grapefruit and fruit cocktail. The flavor was bitter and tangy with intense sweet pineapple and grapefruit and fruit cocktail syrup underneath. The finish was long and sweet with lingering fruit cocktail. Fairly full bodied. Excellent.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a slightly hazy yellow-golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was crisp table sugar and golden fruits. The flavor was dryish and bready with moderate notes of golden fruits and table sugar. Medium length dry and bready finish. Fairly full bodied. The alcohol was well hidden. Ok.

On tap at the new Bocktown in Monaca. Pour is dark brown with very little head. Slight roasty aroma. First taste has personality. Roasty and leathery. Rather friendly for a leathery kind of beer IMHO. Has just a tad of bitterness but not much. Better than expected for some reason. Easy finish. One of the better brown ales as far as I am concerned. Good easy finish. Well behaved. Overall a decent beer tasting experience.

Much more my style than the brown was.+++ Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a cloudy dark caramel-amber color with almost no head that left no lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish with strong notes of pine and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter and tangy with strong grapefruit and pine and moderate notes of peach and caramel. The finish was long and tangy with pine, caramel and grapefruit lingering. Fairly full bodied but very undercarbonated. Other than the lack of carbonation this was nicely done.
