Keg at the brewpub, 7/13/16. Hazy amber, thin fizzy off-white head, decent retention. Aroma of tinny grapefruit juice. The taste is super sweet grapefruit juice and a tinny note. Thin, flat. Poor.

On tap at Black Squirrel NKOTB event pours a mostly clear orange with some sticky white head. Nose is interesting, so much spice I thought it could be a pumpkin beer, honey, candlewax. Flavor is sweet with malt and honey, some lemon lime soda too, but lots of spice, cloves and cardamom mostly. Finishes a touch boozy.

On tap at Black Squirrel NKOTB event. Pours a muddy brown/black with some cloudy tan head. Nose has fragrant coffee grounds, some vanilla, brown sugar, some toast. Flavor is heavy with vanilla, coffee is the backbone but the vanilla sweetness rides over it, like a bad vanilla latte, some caramel. Finishes sweet.

On tap at Black Squirrel NKOTB event pours a clear orange with some creamy white head. Nose has orange and orange juice, some pine, a little grist. Flavor is interesting with a real toasted grain backbone that is unexpected, orange, pine, grapefruit, honey comb. Finishes bitter and a touch chewy.

Good roast and some raw grain Definitely the best of their beers so far. Black pour with decent head and lacing. Some caramel. Bitter toasty finish. Tap at brewery.
