Nonic pint draft at Stockyards Brewing Co in Kansas CIty, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a small white head that leaves sheets of lace on the glass. The aroma is grass, a bit of pine and faint cracker malt. The taste is very dry, grass, dirt, pine, and some off chemical. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and the dirty pine, grass earth finish. Tasted off.

Shaker pint draft at Rye in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is mostly clear darker golden brown with an off white head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is toasted malt, toffee sweet, earth and floral hop. The taste is the rich malt flavors, cut with the earth and floral hop. The malt picked up a faint peat flavor that really brought out the richness. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and the sweet earth finish. Nice Irish.

Draft/Fest. A- Black pepper, spices. A- Brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Bitter, roasty, black pepper. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Been so long since I've had a Black IPA, I didn't think they still existed. Hits the head for the style. Grassy bitterness with a fair amount of black peppercorn spice. Okay, just really not my thing.

Shaker pint draft at Rye in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is mostly clear golden copper with a ½ inch foamy white head. The aroma is floral, citrus and generic Belgian yeast spice. The taste has much more of a Saison character with grain, the spice yeast, along with the floral hop character and the citrus cutting the finish some. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, grain, yeast and earth mineral in the finish. Alcohol softly evident as it warms. Nice take on a hoppy Saison.

Approximately 4 oz taster glass draft at the Stockyards Brewing Co in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a cloudy golden with a thin off white head, that leaves nice lace. The aroma is dank resin, big full hop nose. Malt is present, though certainly below the resinous hop. The taste is clean herbal floral dank hop, bit of cracker malt towards the back. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a mineral resin dank finish. Tasty and clean, my kind of IPA - and my favorite of the Stockyards beers I sampled.
