Our experience brewing traditional ales & lagers has helped us win awards in styles classic and creative. With beautiful views of slate roofed barns and refurbished campus-like brick buildings, Old Bust Head is part of a unique farm called ‘Vint Hill’ that for 50 years operated as a top secret military listening post. Familiar faces behind the bar share their love of craft in our 1950’s post & beam taproom while covered outdoor seating between our taproom and production area provides a welcoming environment for leashed dogs and all-weather access to a rotating variety of food trucks.

Hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright hay and grasses with a ton of coriander seed and curacao with a big dose of citrus, sweetness and more grasses. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and coriander seed flavours at first with a lot of yeast, a touch of breads and a nice curacao and some full oranges. Aftertaste shows some nice grassy notes with a good deal of hay and even more yeast and bready flavours throughout that finishes quite sweet from the oranges/curacao. Overall, a nice saison with some dry flavours, but more of a german wheat or belgian wit flavour throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Shopper’s Food Warehouse in Alexandria, Virginia on 21-June-2017 for US$1,25 sampled at home in Washington on 17-August-2017.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light salt tartness, lemon zest bite. Hits that sea-breeze gose notes. Light and easy to drink.
