Original rating: May 26, 2014: Sampler at brewery. This is another well made beer but doesn’t appeal to me as the rest of the lineup at the brewery. I wish for a greater hop bite and the finish is a bit too dry. Its clean, easy drinking but the malts don’t have that great white bread crisp or nice hop bite. 7/3/7/3/15 ReRATE ******************************* 12/18: I really loved drinking this. For some reason just the clean malt and super tasty yeast character did for me. 8/4/8/3/16

Sampler at brewery. Nothing makes you appreciate a good maibock than recently drinking a crappy one. Well, I drank a crappy one a week ago and this is so much better. A slight orange tint to the dark gold brew. Great light sweet touch from the malt and yet amazingly crisp and clean. Just a hint of clean lagered fruit. Easy to drink and perfect carbonation for a sunny Sunday.

Sampler at the brewery. Another stellar rendition. Perfectly clean, no flaws, great clean malts with a subtle noble hop character. Carbonation makes this go down so easy and maybe the best helles I have drank in a while.

Sampler at the brewery. As everything at this brewery, it solidly made, very solid. The banana is well restrained and a great attenuated body. A clean malt base that adds a bit of a white crust character. Super drinkable with a slightly stronger carbonation. Very well made here. Thick golden glowing color wth no clarity.

1/2 liter Willebecher draft at the brewery tap room in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a mostly clear copper brown with a 1 inch off white head. The aroma is fresh grass, earthy hop and grain cereal malt. The taste is the cereal grain upfront, mineral and the clear bright grass hay hops. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and the bright mineral sweet-grass hop finish. Well made, though not 100% my sort of thing. A bit too much sweetness.

.5 L Hefe glass draft at the brewery tap room in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is hazed yellow golden with a splotchy white head. The aroma is cracker malt, Belgian Saison yeast, pleasant citrus and a bit of earthiness. As the beer warms, sweet Brett notes peek out a bit. The taste is the dry clean malt up front and the Saison yeast balanced along with the citrus and a bit of bright clean funk. Bit of honey malt sweet is evident as it warms. The palate is light to medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel, drying carbonation, and the clean yeast finish. Tasty stuff.
