Bottle at home, 2014 vintage, cannot recall from where ... I've had this before but can't believe I've never rated it ... 1.4K+ rates for a non macro brewer ... must be one of the most rated beers in that camp. Moderately hazed orange golden with a good sized just off white head. Nose is funk, damp oak, stoned fruits, grape must, orange peel, fucked over mango, orange peel. Taste comprises funky citric peel, grass, stoned fruits, white grape, guava, damp oak, funk, straw, light bretty kiss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome stuff for just 4.5% ... I think the non intentional ageing has done this wonders!

Enjoyed on tap at The Independent in Tampa, FL on a very nice relatively warm winter night to hang out on a patio. This was a pretty good sour, more sessionable than others in it's style.

375ml bottle @ 1991 Craft Beer Tasting, Chez Sophie. Misty gold with a slight peachy glow, small white head. Aroma brings a bright, wild introduction. Taste is crisp, sharp, sour with some nice sweet fruity nuances, perhaps a light glimpse of lychee. Not getting any blackcurrant, cherry or orange pith at all, and certainly no Malbec influence, but for what it is it's a nice wild beer. I just have to mark down for the lack of Malbec notes. Should really have been re-labelled.
