Sampled at the In Cahoots 2014 event. Apple aroma is immediately present even before the glass is near my nose. No smoke yet. Lightly sweet cider flavor. After letting the beer warm a bit on a very hot day a hint of smoke comes through, but I would have enjoyed a more intense smoke flavor.

Tap at Republic as "Stout Apple." Thin palate and on the dry side for a cider, with the beer adding the roasted grain character. Flavor is a little light and this seem thin in body, but it tastes ok.

Tap at Sociable. Light haze on the gold color. Lightly sour with dty apple, getting into the territory of some French ciders. Dry apple skin finish. Thin palate.

At Sociable. This is a dry, Irish-style stout. Good palate and good flavor of grain and roasted malt, and I preferred it over their Bitter or Saison with lime.

At Sociable. This was by far the best of the four beers I tried on my first visit. Brown color with minimal head. Thick palate. There is smoke in the flavor and aroma. We are not talking Bamberg level smoke here, but it is there. Rich malt flavor and a dry finish.

At Sociable, on draught. Saison appearance, cloudy gold color. Some spice in the aroma. Flavor is very lightly sour, yeast, and a mild finish of lime.

On tap at Sociable. Hazy orange color, bright appearance for a bitter. Aroma of grain and surprisingly bitter malt and hop flavors. It seems very intense for a bitter and I might have called it an English pale ale but no need to get into that debate.

Draught at Sociable. Yellow color with just a little haze to the appearance. I found this well balanced. There is sweetness, but it is not overpowering like you would find in a Woodchuck for example. Apple flavor, and the yeast is there as well. I found this very filling. An enjoyable cider.
